Our vegan and cruelty free body butters are created using a carefully selected blend of the finest oils and butters which are whipped together to create a light, fluffy cream. Because our body butters are made purely from oils and butters and no added water, they are extremely rich. Only a small amount is needed to feel the benefits. Each fully recyclable, alluminium tin of our body butter will contain a minimum of 50g of body butter and will be good to use for up to 6 months after opening.

All of our body butters include:

Shea Butter: Shea butter has a high concentration of vitamins and fatty acids. Due high levels of linoleic acid and oleic acid, it is incredibly moisturisng and is easily absorbed into the skin. Shea butter is also naturally anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant. These qualities combined mean that Shea Butter may help reduce fine lines and wrinkles and minimise irritation caused by dry skin or skin conditions such as eczema. Shea butter also has a natural SPF factor of 3-4. While it cannot be used alone as a sun cream, it can be layered on top of sun creams to help moisturise.

Coconut Oil: Like Shea Butter, Coconut Oil is packed full of skin loving ingredients, including linoleic acid, which can help to hydrate skin and Lauric acid which has antibacterial properties and helps boost collagen production. Coconut Oil also has anti-inflammatory properties, meaning it is a great choice for irritated skin.

Cocoa Butter: Cocoa Butter is high in fatty acids and it is the fat in Cocoa Butter that enables it to form a protective barrier over skin, helping to lock in moisture. Cocoa Butter is commonly used to smooth scars, stretch marks and wrinkles and high levels of phytochemicals (natural plant compounds) found in Cocoa Butter may help to promote blood flow to the skin and slow skin aging.

Argan Oil: Argan Oil is a perfect oil for use on all skin types. It is neither too heavy nor too light. It is a rich source of vitamin E, which is a vitamin required for healthy skin, hair and eyes and it can also improve moisture content in the skin. Argan oil can also help to balance oily skin due to its anti-sebum qualities, which in turn can lead to a reduction in acne and a smoother appearance to the skin.

Jojoba Oil: Jojoba Oil is technically not an oil but a liquid wax, which means it is lighter and less greasy than other oils. It is well known in the beauty industry for its fantastic skin benefits. Jojoba oil may be helpful in treating skin conditions like acne, Eczema and Psoriasis and as it is hypoallergenic it is very rare for people to experience reactions to Jojoba Oil. Jojoba Oil has been used as far back as the 1400's by Native Americans who used it for its wound healing properties. Like many of our other oils and butters, Jojoba Oil is packed full of natural antioxidants and Vitamin E.

  • We recommend using your fingers to apply a small amount of our body butter after a shower or bath to help lock in moisture or before bed to allow the butter to work its magic while you sleep. You can also use it after a long day in the sun or anytime that your skin is feeling a little dry and in need of a pick me up!

When first applied, the body butter may feel oily on the skin, don't worry, this will pass! Give the butter 15 minutes or so to sink into the skin and any initial oily feeling will pass! In the unlikely event that the skin does still feel oily after this time, try using a little less body butter next time - we can't stress enough how only a tiny amount is needed to feel the effects!
